Euclidean / Polyrhythm MIDI
One grid is boring. Let each lane live on its own clock.
Build four independent rhythmic cycles with Euclidean pulse distribution, different step counts and different cycle lengths. Combine 5-over-4, 7-over-4, polymeters and classic drum patterns, then export the composite groove as MIDI.
One grid is boring. Let each lane live on its own clock.
Steps defines how many equal subdivisions exist inside one lane cycle; Pulses distributes the active hits as evenly as possible. Cycle Span tells ToneAnvil how many quarter-note beats that lane occupies. Five steps across four beats creates a 5:4 subdivision, while lanes with different cycle spans create polymeter because their barlines realign only after a longer composite cycle.
Probability and velocity variation are realized from the global seed, so the same settings and seed always export the same result. Change Random Seed for another realization without changing the Euclidean geometry.
Export uses 960 PPQ, embeds the selected BPM and writes each lane using its own MIDI note and channel. Timing offsets, probabilities, gate lengths and velocity variation are already realized in the exported file.
