What makes the riff generator musical

ToneAnvil creates a compact motif first, then reuses and mutates it instead of drawing every event independently. Interval Width controls how far the melody tends to leap, Root Pedal Bias pulls phrases back toward the tonic, and Motif Mutation decides how aggressively later repetitions diverge from the original idea.

MIDI export and editing

The exported Standard MIDI File contains tempo and the edited riff at 960 PPQ. Every pitch, start position, note length and velocity shown in the piano roll is written into the MIDI file, so you can continue arranging it in any DAW.
